The Ridgewood Blog’s Crew has Announced a New Event Date: Big Santa Is Back at Westfield Garden State Plaza.

NEW EVENT DATE: BIG SANTA IS BACK at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey

Tuesday, November 20th, 4:00 PM–7:00 PM

Westfield Garden State Plaza is thrilled to welcome back its illustrious, famous “Big Santa” display this holiday season!

The brand-new, 45-foot-tall, lit Big Santa will be situated close to Nordstrom (at door #7) and will be visible from both Routes 17 and 4. He will be dressed in his size 90 boots.

An iconic 51-foot tall, lit “Big Santa” was placed atop a chimney in the parking lot of Westfield Garden State Plaza facing Route 17 from the 1950s until the 1980s, and it could be seen for miles. “Big Santa’s” appearance has marked the unofficial beginning of the holiday season for generations of Bergen County locals.

On November 20, beginning at 4:00 PM, Westfield Garden State Plaza will hold a lighting event to greet “Big Santa’s” comeback. It will take place in the parking lot outside door 7. (adjacent to Nordstrom and Design Within Reach). To mark the start of the Christmas season, the entire community is invited to take part in the countdown to the formal lighting of the iconic “big guy.”

Event information: Early arrival is suggested. Get a nice place and bring your chairs!
While eating different foods from one of the many food trucks that will be parked at the event, listen to your favourite holiday music.
Following musical performances by the Paramus High School marching band at 6 o’clock, Santa Claus will arrive on a Paramus fire truck, and Big Santa will be officially lit up.
Children are encouraged to see Santa after the event and enjoy hot chocolate and sweets.
The public is welcome to attend this programme for free.
Don’t forget to RSVP and enter to win a $500 Westfield gift card to get your holiday shopping started!
