13 Makeup Essentials Every Woman Should Have In The Makeup Bag
When you are away from your home on a business trip or just on a vacation, it is not always possible to bring all the makeup that you used to have at home with you. So, you just bring the bare essentials. Here is a list of what you would need to have in your makeup bag shared with us by Funky Faith Girl.
So, let’s get started…

1. Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation
Best foundation ever. It is full coverage but it can be sheered out if you want. And, because of how highly pigmented it is, you can use it to conceal certain areas if you need extra coverage in certain places and not just another layer of foundation all over.
2. MAC Full Coverage Crème Foundation
I press full coverage foundation onto certain areas of my cheeks to pack on the coverage because of my hyperpigmentation. Just the littlest bit of this goes the longest way, for a natural but full coverage look, I will use my Beauty Blender.
3. Maybelline Fit Me for Highlighting
This concealer is perfect for on-the-go. Because of the packaging, it is great for traveling with and it is highlighted and brightening and great for the under-eye area. I apply this straight from the wand and then blend it out using my damp Beauty Blender.
4. LA Girl Pro Conceal for Contouring
This product for concealing with is amazing. There is a brush built into the end to dispense the product with so there is no need to carry another brush. Then I just blend it in either using the same Beauty Blender I used for my highlight or I use a MAC 130 brush.
5. Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
This is such a great powder. I would have probably brought the RCMA powder with me but the packaging on that one sucks. This is a good powder with suitable packaging for traveling with. I set my entire face with this powder and bake the area under my eyes.
6. MAC Shaping and Sculpting Powders
This palette is so good. It is all I need when it comes to highlighting and contouring, it is even great when it comes to eyeshadow looks because I only ever go for neutral looks. Not to mention that I made this palette so I like every single shade in it.
7. Bobbi Brown Bronzer
I love this Bobbi Brown bronzer it is great for just making the skin look a little healthier in the colder months when my skin looks dull. It does have orange undertones but it also has ash tones in there that make you look nice and contoured!
8. MAC 4 x Eyeshadow Quad
I put in here enough eyeshadows to create normal daytime looks and deeper going-out looks. It’s great because it is so compact. Plus, with these eyeshadows, because I have matte brown shades I can even fill my eyebrows in.
9. Seventeen High Drama Eyeliner
This is the only thing I use to create a winged liner, so easy to use and it is super black. This eyeliner isn’t called as waterproof but I have worn this in the pouring down rain before and even after a good cry and it hasn’t ever smudged!
10. Maybelline Sensational Mascara
Makes lashes thick and black. Has been my go-to mascara for years and years. I really cannot see myself using anything but this for a long time. And I am sure this only cost me around £4 and it by far beats my higher-end mascaras.
11. Anastasia Brow Pomade
I love this for making my brows look natural because it allows me to do brush-like strokes. I use this with the Anastasia brow brush and it is a pair made in heaven. I wasn’t too sure about this product when I first got it, but now I am obsessed.
12. MAC Lip Liner in Soar, Whirl and Spice
I love my neutral lip liners, I carry these with me every day, never mind on a night away. They just last all day long when they are applied, they can be drying but I just make sure that I have a nice moisturizing balm in my pocket for when I touch up.
13. MAC Velvet Teddy and Whirl Lipsticks
My favorite lipsticks ever, basically the only ones I ever use. These two nude lipsticks are my go-to products. They are both matte so they last long on the lips and when paired with the matching MAC lip liner there is no stopping them!
