OpenSTAR Appointed as Official Distributor for Ten Global Private Fund Houses, Expands Cross-Border Investment Access

[London, April 2025]
AI-powered fund platform OpenSTAR today announced the successful signing of distribution agreements with ten of the world’s leading private fund management groups. Covering equity, fixed income, multi-strategy, and structured products, this milestone marks the official establishment of OpenSTAR’s global private fund access channel, offering investors in the UK and beyond a significantly broader range of cross-border investment opportunities.
All ten fund houses are globally recognised asset managers, each regulated by their respective national financial authorities and with long-standing track records in international investment. The partners include:
BlackRock
J.P. Morgan Asset Management
Virtus Investment Partners
T. Rowe Price
Morgan Stanley
Invesco
Schroders
BNP Paribas Asset Management
Franklin Templeton
Merrill Lynch
These products will be rolled out in phases on the OpenSTAR platform and span a wide range of strategies, including actively managed equity funds, bond portfolios, macro multi-strategy funds, AI quantitative models, and senior-junior structured private funds — forming a diversified offering based on style complementarity, risk layering, and regional balance.
“This represents a major step forward in strengthening the fund architecture of our platform and reflects the market’s trust in OpenSTAR’s intelligent systems and risk management capabilities,”
said the Head of Fund Operations at OpenSTAR.
“By partnering with the world’s most influential fund managers, we aim to give UK investors access to global opportunities that were previously out of reach.”
Several of the products will be included in OpenSTAR’s flagship “Structured Access Channel”, where OpenSTAR provides internal subordinated capital to absorb underlying risks, enabling priority investors — particularly those with moderate capital — to participate in premium strategies with enhanced downside protection.
OpenSTAR has confirmed its plan to establish a UK subsidiary by the end of 2025, operating under the regulatory framework of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The company will also adapt product offerings to local market requirements, ensuring more compliant, intelligent, and inclusive access to high-quality fund products for UK-based investors.
